Born and raised in Queens, New York, Dena Igusti is a queer non-binary (they/he) Indonesian Muslim poet and playwright. Dena’s work covers a multitude of themes ranging from the Indonesian diaspora, Muslim issues, intersectional feminism, grief, and their experience as a survivor of female genital mutilation.
